Tutorial on Semantic Technology at Semantic Days 2011

This is the homepage for the tutorial on semantic technology presented at the conference Semantic Days 2011 June 7th, 13:00–18:00.

The tutorial is based on material from the course INF3580 given at the University of Oslo. Learn how to publish and retrieve knowledge using W3C Semantic Web standards. Create an ontology to formalize a data model, and reason about it. Target audience: programmers, students, professionals. Don't forget to bring your laptop! Presenters: Martin Giese and Martin G. Protégé

Protégé is a free, open source ontology editor and knowledge-base framework.

D2R

D2R Server is a tool for publishing relational databases on the Semantic Web. It enables RDF and HTML browsers to navigate the content of the database, and allows applications to query the database using the SPARQL query language.
